Daguerrotype: Created by Louis Daguerre. First picture is a view from a window in the 1820's. It's created with a silver-plated copper plate. Daguerre created the most important part of the camera, what actually has the picture on it. Both a negative and a positive at the same time. Permanent process. They stay in perfect condition. Cyanotype: Created by Sir John Herschel in 1842. Potassium ferricyanide and Ferric ammonium citrate and then the two are blended together in equal parts. Didn't see any use until the 19th century. Became known as blue print. Used as a proofing material. Tend to be done by amateurs. Once upon a time, there were three princesses who were getting ready for the annual ball together. Princess Aurora, Rapunzel, and Cinderella are just waiting for the others to come and pick them up. Finishing their hair and makeup, they hear a car horn outside from the other princesses indicating that they are ready to go. All of the princesses are done getting ready, so they jump in the car and are almost off to the ball. To get themselves pumped up, they try to decide what radio station to turn on. They finally decide to turn on the Disney radio and start driving. When all of a sudden... Ariel can't breathe because she is dehydrated since she isn't in water! Luckily, the princesses are near a body of water and grab what they could to try and splash water on Ariel so she can survive. Thank goodness these princesses know what to do under pressure! Otherwise, Ariel could have possibly died. Phew! Ariel lived, but Rapunzel's box got wet and she had to get out of her box before in got all moldy and gross. The only problem is; she's never been out of the box. She doesn't know what she should do. She doesn't want to go against her mother, but she also doesn't get all moldy and wants to feel the fresh air. After Rapunzel finally decided to get out of her box and be free, they were finally off to the ball! Oh no! Deciding on a radio station is just impossible. They're so late for the ball that it doesn't even matter what station they put on now. Let's just hope nothing else bad happens on the way. With taking these photos, I realized how important aperture really is in the production of a picture. It allows you to have the power to focus on a certain object in the photo so it can be the main focus. Some of the photos came out really focused on the first box, and not so much the the other two boxes.
Camera obscura is a way to capture an image using a small ray of light of which you will capture the image that is being projected through that ray. Camera obscura is something that has been around for many years. Since the renaissance, actually. The thing about it, is that the image captured is upside down. The way to flip it is to use a mirror and angle it correctly so it will actually end up how the image should look. This started the world of photography by the realization that a camera is essentially a box and the image is captured by light, not heat like they had thought it was. This is not my photo, but I really love it.
